Plants tell us about ores

“I participate in a research of new cost-efficient and environmentally friendly mineral exploration methods. Currently I am in a project funded by Tekes which studies how samples taken from plants can be used in ore exploration. This biochemical method has been used for a long time abroad, but recently the analysing methods have been developed further and become more accurate. I am also researching the possibility of surveying with drones. Flying measurement devices can provide data for small-scale geological research, mineral exploration and monitoring the environment.”
